Bordeaux Blends

We group all Bordeaux blends in this category, regardless of where they are from.  The typical Bordeaux blend is a mix of cabernet sauvignon and merlot, and occasionally adds cabernet franc or other varietals.  These wines have also been referred to as Meritages or Clarets (pronounced “clar-ettes,” because it’s from England, not France).  Our favorite Bordeaux blends (for the money) are the Estancia Meritage, the Coppola Claret, Opus One, and the Franciscan Magnificat.
