Mas de la Dame — Coin Cache
The Coin Cache offering from Mas de la Dame is one of our favorite wines. We’ve been known to travel several hours out of our way to pick up a couple bottles. Mas de la Dame is growing in popularity in and around Baux, but it is difficult to find its wines outside of southern France.
Coin Cache is a blend of Cabernet, Grenache, and Syrah, but the dominant flavor is Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine just melts in your mouth, and is one of the smoothest strong cab-based wines we’ve found. Although a little pricey at $30 per bottle at the winery, Coin Cache is well worth it.
