Perfect Desserts

There’s nothing quite like a great dessert to finish of a good meal. We all know we shouldn’t, and we feel guilty eating it, but it’s hard to resist your favorite treats when they are them on offer. There are a great variety of desserts to enjoy, and whether you prefer hot and cold, you will always have a great choice. You may have guessed by now that I love my desserts.

DESERT RECIPES are easy to find on the internet.

Before you start to panic, realize that low fat desserts do exist, and many taste terrific. Choosing carefully is the key. Light, fruity desserts like sorbets, sherbets, and granitas are often low in fat. Fruit pies, cobblers and other desserts are lower in fat than cheesecakes and other rich desserts.

Remember, red wine and chocolate don’t mix. You might end up with a sick guest or two, if you try that combination. A sweet fruity wine is a nice accompaniment for chocolate slivers, but fruit and cheese are a better choice when alcohol is being served. Try slicing an Anjou pear; sprinkle the slices with grated sharp cheddar and some chocolate shavings. Bake just long enough for the cheese to melt slightly, not brown. Serve it up warm, along with your favorite glass of wine.
